Problems do not belong to one individual — they are part of the emotional functioning of the entire system.\nThe value of this way of thinking includes:\n1.No longer overwhelmed by others’ emotions: You stay steady and clear.\n2.Differentiation helps you remain calm in high-anxiety environments and resist the urge to help anyone.\n3.Seeing the emotional patterns behind family dynamics: More understanding\, less reactivity.\n4.You begin to see that children’s behaviors\, parental anxiety\, silence\, and conflicts may be related to triangulation and multigenerational transmission processes. \nProviding neutral presence without “taking sides”: Avoid burnout and unintended harm.\nYou can stay connected without becoming the third point in a triangle or getting pulled into family disputes.\nPractitioners can sustain their work over the long term — staying engaged without being drained or pulled into the emotional process. \nHigher differentiation allows you to be empathic yet grounded. Real help lies in enhancing the stability of the system\, rather than over-functioning to solve the client’s problems. This is the core value of Bowen to the practitioners.\nWho Is This Course For?\nIndividuals who have long struggled with family or intergenerational issues \nPractitioners \nAnyone who wants to feel more free and grounded in relationshipsCourse Outline\nSession 1｜Introduction to Systems Thinking & Overview of the Eight Concepts\n• What does it mean that “the family is an emotional unit”?\n• The origins and core principles of Bowen Theory\n• A first look at Bowen’s eight key concepts\nSession 2｜Nuclear Family Emotional System I\n• How anxiety moves and circulates within the family\n• Three primary patterns of family emotional responses\n• Understanding the nuclear family system through everyday experiences\nSession 3｜Nuclear Family Emotional System II\n• How symptoms become “the outlet” for family anxiety\n• The seemingly “problematic” roles in high-anxiety families\n• How practitioners can stay present in emotional processes without getting entangled\nSession 4｜Triangular Relationships I — Formation & Function of Triangles\n• Why are humans unable to bear the tension of a two-person relationship?\n• Common family triangle patterns (e.g.\, mother+child+father; mother-in-law +daughter-in-law+ husband)\n• Triangles in casework: client+practitioner+family member\nSession 5｜Triangular Relationships II — Triangle Expansion & Detriangling\n• How triangles evolve into triangle networks\n• How practitioners avoid becoming “the third point” in a triangle\n• Practice: Detriangling — staying connected without taking sides \nSpeaker Introduction\nLin Chia-Hui\nCounseling Psychologist (License No. 003156)\nCounseling Supervisor (License No. 1130010)\nTherapist at Apricot Mind Psychological Clinic\nCounseling Psychologist at Jin-An Mental Health Clinic\nCorporate Coach\nVolunteer Counselor / Volunteer Trainer / Group Facilitator at Taipei Lifeline\nPart-time Psychologist at Far East University of Science and Technology\nCareer Development Lecturer at 104 HR Market\nCollaborating Psychologist at Keelung City Police Bureau’s “Teacher Guan’s Garden” Program\nPublications & Media Interviews\nColumnist for Mandarin Daily News Family Section: Parenting Coach’s Perspective & Parent-Child Universe\nInterviewee for TTV News: COVID-19 Special Report\nInterviewee for GTV News: The Invisible Wounds Special Report\nFeatured in Business Weekly (Emotional Intelligence Self-Study Edition): Using “I Messages” to Defuse Conflicts\nAuthor: Be Your Own Workplace Emotional Coach – Strengthening Your EQ with Bowen Theory (Published by Business Weekly\, October 2020)

This is not about learning more theory\, but about learning to encounter your own authentic experience. \nWhen the body speaks the unspoken~ \nSometimes we may say\, “I am calm now\,” yet our speech is rushed\, as if chasing something that cannot be stopped; or we might say\, “It’s okay\, I’ve let it go\,” while our shoulders remain tight and high; perhaps we smile while describing a turmoil  of sadness and anger; or our body unconsciously leans\, struggling to maintain balance or holding  an unstable position\, believing the strained balance is the only way. These seemingly minor details are \, in fact\, our body speaking—signals of emotions\, stress\, and expectations hidden within the “Iceberg”. \nHowever\,  if we only listen to ‘what is said’\, and ignore ‘how it is said’—overlooking what is happening in the body as we speak—we may miss the authentic  calls coming from within. \nAs Ms. Satir reminded us： \nWhen your body is tense\, oxygen cannot reach all its parts; but when you relax and stretch\, oxygen can enter these  areas\, allowing you to connect with your body and receive its signals… This is not a concept\, but a reality. \nThe body is not just a tool for action; it also carries our thoughts\, emotions\, and life force. In this course\, we will unfold and explore the “Iceberg Map” within  our bodies. On this journey of connecting with ourselves\, we can re-establish our grounded presence and lay a gentle yet strong foundation for accompanying ourselves and others in the future. \nYou might wonder: how can an exploration starting from the body be conducted online? \nIn fact\, different formats open different doors of experience. When we are in a familiar space\, able to choose our own pace and movements freely\, the body may be more willing to speak; we may also hear its subtle messages more clearly and come closer to our true selves. That said\, some preparation of both mind and space is needed. While the online format is convenient\, it relies even more on your active participation and engagement to co-create this mind-body journey. \n\n【Course Objectives】 \n\nSee\, listen\, and feel freely: Through the mind-body dialogue\, listen to the messages flowing from your body\, gain a deeper recognition  of the unspoken inner stories\, and understand  experiences that are difficult to articulate yet profoundly real .\nMore congruent  self-dialogue: Learn to respond to yourself in an integrated way in daily life—not only through words\, but also through posture\, rhythm\, and movement— allowing you to respond more congruently to toyour inner expectations and desires.\nConnecting with your life force: Ground yourself with both softness and strength\, while laying a solid foundation for supporting others in the future.\n\nOverall\, the course is designed to balance structure and flow\, guiding participants to delve deeper gradually and gently explore\, and to bring the transformations they experience back into daily life. \n\n【Course Structure】 \nThe following outlines the main structure of this course. Content will be adjusted as needed based on participants’ states and group dynamics\, while preserving space for exploration and the flexibility for real-time adaptation. \n\n Meditation and Inner Settling\n\nEach session begins with meditation or inner awareness practices. Through  voice guidance\, body anchoring\, and breathwork exercises\, participants are supported to return  to the present moment. Through this process\, we gradually approach the inner landscape of the“Iceberg.” \nMeditation does not aim for a “correct” state; it is a way of reconnecting with yourself. As Satir said\, “Your choice is from the spirit\,” and with each breath\, we take a small step closer to life.。 \n\n Experiential Activities and Creative Expression\n\nThe course includes simple body movement exercises\, intuitive drawing\, and other creative activities. No prior art or dance background  is required —just a willingness to approach yourself with curiosity. Through the dynamic interplay of movement and stillness\, you begin to notice your inner world; the unspoken inner messages within you will surface when allowed and you will find solace as you accept them. \nThrough this mind-body dialogue\, we will touch on different layers of the Iceberg—feelings\, perspectives\, expectations\, and yearnings\, as well as the life energy that has yet to be named. \nSharing and discussion will be interspersed between activities\, providing space for experiences to be received and internalized\, and allowing you to see yourself reflected in the responses of others. \n\n Dialogue and Integration\n\nIn the final segment of each session\, we practice aligning thoughts \, emotions\, and body awareness\, organizing the Iceberg experiences encountered that day\, and transforming these explorations into practical resources you can bring back to daily life. This reflection process is also a practice of “inner congruence”: learning how to reduce internal coping stances  of placating\, blaming\, super-reasoning\, or distracting\, and developing a more congruent  and harmonious way of being. \nWe encourage each participant to view transformation as a journey of self-responsibility—a process that is both accompanied by others and ultimately shaped by your own choices and decisions. \n\n【Course Participation Guidelines】 \nTo ensure this journey unfolds smoothly and completely\, please confirm  you are prepared in the following areas: \n\n Prior  Experience:\n\n\nParticipants must have foundational knowledge  of the Satir Model\, including prior study of the “Iceberg” and “Communication Stances.”\nParticipants should have a preliminary understanding and self-reflection on their personal growth journey\, and it is preferable to have experience drawing  a “Family of Origin Map.”\n\n\n Participation Commitment： \n\n\nTo foster a sense of safety and interaction within the group\, please keep your camera on throughout all sessions of the course.\nAfter each session\, there will be simple at-home practice exercises. Please prepare to engage with a relaxed and steady pace .\nPlease fill in Pre-Course Survey\, please fill in what growth or insights you hope to gain through participating in this course. This will help the facilitators better understand your current state.\nPre-Course Survey：https://lurl.cc/bITswl\n\n\n Learning Space and Materials Preparation:\n\n\nAt your computer workstation\, ensure you have ample space  (approximately  the size of a yoga mat)\, allowing you to stand up and move freely.\nWear comfortable clothing that allows you to move with ease. \nHave a blank sheet of paper and crayons\, or any other drawing tools you enjoy using .\n\n※These simple yet essential preparations are the starting point for your encounter with yourself\, and an important part of this course. \n\n【Target Audience】 \n\nThose interested in body awareness and self-exploration: participants who are willing illing to start from embodied experiences to deepen their inner connection.\nLearners who tend to get stuck in their logical minds and find it difficult to access and engage with their emotions.\n\nPlayback Deadline: December 28\, 2025\, 20:00 (PST) / December 29\, 2025\, 11:00 (Asia Time Zone). \n\n【Speaker Bio】 \nJian Yanzhen \nI am a licensed counseling psychologist in Taiwan who continually explores within myself\,  and integrates mind-body dialogue as a way to heal and accompany myself. \nBefore becoming a psychologist\, I spent many years in theater performance. That was a profound journey of body-based dialogue\, in which creative physical training and expressive practice  opened doors and windows into my  inner world. During those years\, various body training that explored different flows\, tensions\, and textures  became secret pathways to meet and converse with different aspects of myself. \nLater\, encountering  the Satir Model—\, with its focus on mind-body integration\, and training in dance movement therapy\, marked a major turning point.  These frameworks  allowed me to weave together my prior embodied experiences in the arts with the practices of accompaniment and awareness from my psychological training\, gradually forming a mind-body path of practice. This path has also been deeply supported my own trauma healing process.  \nThis course is an invitation born from that journey—an invitation for you to come closer to yourself\, explore with curiosity\, rediscover the parts of you that have yet to be spoken\, and slowly embark on your own path of self-exploration and growth.

Pacific Time: October 17\, 2025\, by 20:00\nAsia Time: October 18\, 2025\, by 11:00\nClasses are held every other week during the first and third weeks of the course.\nThe first and second classes are scheduled on different days of the week. Please take note to avoid missing any sessions. \n\n【Course Description】\nOften\, the challenge of communication lies not in “failing to express clearly\,” but in how we “listen” and how we “see.” When faced with a situation\, our minds automatically generate a set of interpretations. These interpretations are influenced by our past experiences and internalized rules—much like a pre-written equation. Within seconds\, we react. However\, is that reaction truly a response to the other person’s message in the moment? Or is it a reaction to our own past interpretations?\nSatir’s “The Ingredients of an Interaction” course is designed for those who want to learn congruent communication. It helps you slow down and become aware of: How do I usually listen? How do I see? How do I interpret? Throughout this process\, we also uncover our defensive mechanisms and habitual rules. Through this exploration\, we gain opportunities to transform\, enabling ourselves and others to interact more authentically and consistently. \n\n【Course Objectives】\nUnderstand the “Ingredients of an Interaction.”\nBecome aware of how we listen and see.\nExplore our internal interpretation processes and defense mechanisms.\nIdentify possible internal rules in communication.\nRecognize incongruence in responses.\nLearn to communicate more congruently. \n\n【Who Should Attend】\nThose who have previously learned the Satir model of communication.\nThose willing to explore their own communication patterns and incongruences.\nThose looking to investigate potential obstacles in their communication.\nThose who wish to practice congruent communication with significant others in their lives \n\nReplay Access Deadline:\nU.S. Pacific Time November 17\, 2025\, 23:00\nAsia Time: November 18\, 2025\, by 14:00. \n\n【Speaker Bio】\nHsieh Hsin-Hui\n■ Credentials\nLicensed Counseling Psychologist\, Taiwan (License No. 001618)\nCertified Therapist in the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy Model \n■ Areas of Expertise\nCounseling using the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy approach for Individual\, couples\, clinical supervision\, public talks\, and workshops\nIntimate relationships and communication\, intergenerational dynamics and family of origin influences\, workplace competencies and interpersonal relationships\nEmotional distress and psychosomatic issues (e.g.\, depression\, anxiety\, bipolar disorder)\nIntimate partner violence and gender/sexuality issues\nTrauma recovery and grief-related issues\nPsychological adaptation to major or chronic illnesses\nCareer exploration and life transitions\nIssues related to persons with disabilities\nGender diversity\, identity\, and relationship issues\n(Facilitated LGBTQ+ workshops in collaboration with the Taoyuan Social Workers Association)\nNew-generation children and related topics\nMind-body-spirit exploration and integration \n\n

Would you like to experience how mindfulness can transform your life? Or are you simply interested in how the course is conducted? If so\, we warmly invite you to join this information session\, where mindfulness instructor Guang-You Huang will guide you through it live online. \nGuang-You first encountered the concept of mindfulness in Master Chong-Jian’s courses\, which sparked his in-depth exploration of mindfulness. This journey not only transformed his personal well-being and relationships but also led him to a surprising discovery: through practicing mindfulness\, his study of the Satir Model was no longer just an intellectual exercise\, but one that touched and engaged him at the mind-body level. As a facilitator of Satir dialogues\, mindfulness has helped him become more present\, while bringing greater curiosity and acceptance toward the Focus person. \nIn mindfulness training\, the often-emphasized “awareness triangle”—body\, emotions\, and thoughts—closely aligns with key elements in the Satir Iceberg Model\, such as bodily sensations\, feelings\, perspectives\, and expectations. Together\, they complement each other and deepen self-awareness (Channel One) while enhancing how we respond in relationships (Channel Two). This integration grounds mindfulness practice in everyday life. \nWe sincerely invite you to join this 8-week mindfulness journey\, where we practice being present with ourselves and connected to the world—one breath\, one moment at a time. \n\nWho This Course Is For\n\nLearners of the Satir Model who wish to enhance self-awareness through mindfulness\nIndividuals seeking relief from tension\, anxiety\, insomnia\, chronic fatigue\, or persistent pain\nHomemakers and people from all walks of life who aspire to grow personally and improve quality of life\nOffice workers\, professionals\, managers\, or business owners working under high-stress and competitive conditions\nAnyone looking to boost overall well-being\, improve emotional regulation\, enhance relationships\, and cultivate inner joy and confidence\n\n\nCourse Outline \n\n\n\nWeek\nDate & Time\nCore Concepts & Practices\n\n\nInformation Session (Current Registration)\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\,  \nAugust 1\, 17:00~19:00 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nAugust 2\, 8:00~10:00\nOverview of the 8-Week Mindfulness Course & Q&A\n\n\nWeek 1\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\,  \nAugust 15\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nAugust 16\, 8:00~10:30\nIntroduction to Key Terms\, The Seven Attitudes of Mindfulness / Five Senses Awareness\, Body Scan\n\n\nWeek 2\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\,  \nAugust 22\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\, \nAugust 23\, 8:00~10:30\nOverview of Stress\, Cultivating Concentration / Standing Stretches\, Seated Breathing Practice\n\n\nWeek 3\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\,  \nAugust 29\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nAugust 30\, 8:00~10:30\nEmotional Regulation\, Mind-Body Connection / Sitting Posture Guidance\, Lying Stretches\n\n\nWeek 4\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\, September 5\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nSeptember 6\, 8:00~10:30\nStress\, Anxiety\, and Sleep / Observing Pain and Inner Reactions\n\n\nWeek 5\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\, September 12\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nSeptember 13\, 8:00~10:30\nThe Relationship Between Body\, Emotions\, Cognition\, and Behavior / Full-Body Sitting Meditation\n\n\nWeek 6\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\, September 19\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nSeptember 20\, 8:00~10:30\nIllustrated Guide to the Mind-Body Stress Response / Mindful Walking\n\n\nOne-Day Silent Retreat \n(Registered Separately)\nUS Pacific TIme: Saturday\, September 20\, 17:00 ~ 00:30 \nAsia Time: Sunday\,  \nSeptember 21\, 8:00 ~15:30\nExperiential Day of Silence with Approximately Seven Hours of Deep Mindfulness Practice \nNote 1: For participants in Asia\, there will be a one-hour silent lunch break for mindful eating. \nNote 2: Non-Asia participants may flexibly adjust their silent practice schedule.\n\n\nWeek 7\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\, September 26\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nSeptember 27\, 8:00~10:30\nHow to Respond Wisely to External Challenges / Mindful Communication\n\n\nWeek 8\nUS Pacific TIme: Friday\,  \nOctober 3\, 17:00~19:30 \nAsia Time: Saturday\,  \nOctober 4\, 8:00~10:30\nReview\, Reflection\, and Looking Ahead\n\n\n\nNote: The above outline is for reference only.
Why write four books? \n『Fasting for a good death』：A story about a mother who achieved a good death through voluntary fasting: A patient with disabilities wished to have her feeding tube removed\, but was refused by a palliative care doctor. She then vowed to promote a “Tube Removal Movement.” \n『There is a kind of love that means letting go』：Having assisted fifty patients in achieving a good death through voluntary fasting\, she shares the process and analyzes how other countries avoid the predicament of long-term intubation and bedridden states. \n『How to Say Goodbye to Life with Grace』：After the first two books were published\, the author faced continued criticism from the palliative care community\, which stated they do not accept patients who choose voluntary fasting or withdrawal of life-sustaining treatments. So she wrote a detailed clinical guide on self-directed dying\, hoping to empower families to learn how to care for patients choosing to fast until death\, and to support them in achieving a good death at home. \n『Walking the path of promoting a good death』：The newspaper ran a front-page article criticizing the controversy surrounding fasting as a means to a good death\, claiming that fasting cannot lead to a good death. As a rehabilitation physician\, I wrote about what I have observed since the introduction of National Health Insurance: the widespread use of futile medical treatments. Many patients receive acute care but have no rehabilitation potential afterward\, and I have long felt deep compassion for these intubated\, bedridden patients and their families. With my professional training as a rehabilitation physician\, combined with the experience of caring for hundreds of patients who chose to fast until death\, and the insights gained from reading over a hundred books\, I explore how to promote a good death in ways that are compassionate\, legal\, and reasonable. Introducing fifteen books that inspire new perspectives on death\, the soul\, and end-of-life care\, aiming to challenge societal taboos around death and myths about diet. \n二、Over the past three years\, 300 patients were helped to fast until death. Their conditions are divided into these four types. \nIntubated bedridden patients with no chance of recovery\, removing life-sustaining treatments (ventilator or feeding tube) that have no therapeutic benefit. \nIn cases of natural aging at the end stage\, patients stop eating and drinking and pass away peacefully at home\, avoiding hospital transfers that lead to futile treatments and delayed death. \nPatients with terminal illnesses such as cancer often have poor digestion and absorption. They are not forced to eat and may choose voluntary fasting\, which neither prolongs nor shortens the suffering during the final stage. \nSeverely disabled patients\, patients who are completely paralyzed or have difficulty eating may refuse feeding tubes or choose voluntary fasting\, escaping a life of painful suffering without quality or dignity\, and achieve a good death at home. \n\n【Lecturer Profile】 \nLiu-Ing Bih \nDr. Liu graduated from the National Taiwan University School of Medicine and trained as a resident physician in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at the National Taiwan University Hospital. She used to be the Dean of Taichung Municipal Rehabilitation Hospital and is a retired professor at the Chung Shan Medical University Hospital. She is currently a senior medical professor at the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of the TW Ministry of Health and Welfare. Since she was in elementary school\, she felt gender inequality. She also felt that the weak are prey for the strong in the human world\, and she endeavors to fight against injustice. Being a rehabilitation physician was the greatest choice she made in her life. She learnt to develop an ability to not simply focus on how to combat an illness but to treat and care for a patient as a whole person holistically. She is grateful for all her patients and their families that she has served. Their vulnerability\, suffering\, grit\, and resilience have given her a lot of inspiration and strength. She also wants to express her gratitude to all the members of the rehabilitation team for their selfless and enthusiastic assistance.Dr. Liu likes art\, travel\, photography and reading. Since 2009\, she has shared her experience through her blog “A Bi’s Sky” (http://bee1955.blogspot.com/) and published more than 500 articles. She is also the author of “Medical Steps and Medical Footprints” A literal translation of Book Title) \n【Education】 \nGraduated from National Taiwan University School of Medicine \nAdvanced Studies at New York University Langone Health (Affiliated Hospital) and JAPAN National Rehabilitation Center \nDean of Taichung Municipal Rehabilitation Hospital \nProfessor\, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of the TW Ministry of Health and Welfare \n【Current Position】 \nSenior Medical Professor\, Department of Rehabilitation\, Taichung Hospital\, Ministry of Health and Welfare \n\n

\n同時也是台灣目前在自釀啤酒比賽中得獎最多的玩家 \n✓ 曾在一年內在中港台獲得12座自釀啤酒比賽獎項  \n✓ 自釀啤酒比賽舉辦人並不定時開設自釀啤酒課程  \n✓ 視障陪跑員/盲人環台為公益而跑活動創辦人之一  \n✓ 國際認證BJCP啤酒裁判  \n✓ 全職家庭主夫並育有兩子  \n✓ 華德福教育家長：為了孩子從台北市搬到宜蘭  \n✓ 「有愛益起跑」公益Podcast 節目主持人\n \n \n\n【Course Outline】 \n\n\n Life and Career: Giving Up Life’s “Sweet Spot” from a God’s-Eye Perspective\n\n\nGave up graduate school to enter the workforce\nFrom an annual salary of 700\,000 NTD to a monthly salary of 35\,000 NTD\nFrom a peak annual salary of 6 million NTD to starting over as a stay-at-home dad\n\nFor You\, Struggling Between Dreams and Reality \n\nWe can’t expect different results while repeating the same patterns\nNot making a decision is\, in itself\, a decision\nSet a stop-loss point—and then dare to take the leap\n\n2.Work Attitude: Wholehearted Commitment \n\nThe best way to convince a madman is to be crazier than him\nIf we remove all limits on time and money\, what could we achieve?\nOthers’ limits are just their beliefs—my horizon lies beyond them\n\n3.Do These Few Things to Create a New Beginning After Retirement \n\nList the things you would regret not doing in your lifetime\nTry new activities; friends will naturally come along\nWrite down your plan for the day every morning\nRebuild yourself without relying on business cards\nLearn to manage your retirement funds\n\n4.Family Relationships: Growing Up with Your Children\, Accompanying Your Parents into Retirement \n\nBeing a stay-at-home dad made me grow up all over again\nChoosing Waldorf education to step away from 3C (screens and gadgets)\nCreating an annual memory book for your children and yourself\nTaking your parents on adventures\, trips\, and experiential retirement living\n\n\n【Speaker Introduction】 \nDaniel Chen \nCurrently 50 years old\, retired early at 39 through FIRE (Financial Independence\, Retire Early).
\n\n【Course Outline】 \nSession 1: Identifying the “Demon King” in the Emotional Storm – Understanding the Roots of Conflict from a Systems Perspective \n\n1.
\n\n【課程大綱】 \n\n 從智慧談起\n 如何做語言辨別\n 本質與現象的理解\n 原則與方法的說明\n 哲學諮商的功能\n\n \n\n【講師簡介】 \n黎建球 \n‧ 輔仁大學哲學博土 \n‧ 現任輔仁大學哲學系講座教授 \n‧ 2003年引進哲學諮商 \n曾任 \n‧ 輔仁大學哲學系系主任                             \n‧ 輔仁大學教務長                                  \n‧ 生命教育基金會董事長                              \n‧ 中國哲學會理事長                                  \n‧ 輔仁大學校長                                      \n‧ 台灣哲學諮商學會理事長 \n \n\n【Course Outline】 \n\n Beginning with Wisdom\n How to Distinguish Language\n Understanding Essence and Phenomenon\n Explanation of Principles and Methods\n The Function of Philosophical Counseling\n\n\n【Speaker Introduction】 \nBernard Li (Li Jianqiu) \n‧ Ph.D. in Philosophy\, Fu Jen Catholic University \n‧ Currently Chair Professor\, Department of Philosophy\, Fu Jen Catholic University \n‧ Introduced Philosophical Counseling in 2003 \nFormer Positions \n‧ Chair\, Department of Philosophy\, Fu Jen Catholic University                             \n‧ Academic Vice President\, Fu Jen Catholic University                                  \n‧ Chairman\, Life Education Foundation                             \n‧ President\, Chinese Philosophical Association                                \n‧ President\, Fu Jen Catholic University                                     \n‧ President\, Taiwan Association for Philosophical Counseling \n\n

DESCRIPTION:西方有句諺語說：「You are what you eat.」——你吃進什麼，就會成為什麼。 \n \n\n▲課程影片截止時間 : 美西- 7/10- 23:00 止    / 亞洲- 7/11-14:00 止 (請留意冬/夏令時間)\n\n【Course Outline】 \n\n       Besides irritability\, anger\, hyperactivity\, anxiety\, and insomnia… what other symptoms indicate a lack of calm?\n       The physiological basis of calmness and agitation: molecular\, neurological\, and circuit-level perspectives\n       Why is it increasingly difficult for both adults and children to stay calm in today’s society?\n       Body constitution analysis and lifestyle traps\n       Foods and nutrients that can quickly bring a sense of calm\n       Foods and nutrients that help build a calm constitution\n       Key points in selecting and using calm foods and nutrients\n       Lifestyle habits that promote calmness\n       Homework: “Constitution Analysis” and “Nutritional Practice” for me and my family – sharing and discussion\n   Q&A session\n\n\n  \n【Speaker Introduction】 \nDr. Stephen Ma is a compassionate and professional psychiatrist who has topped various medical examinations\, earning the title “Triple Crown” in the medical field.

\n著作 \n《接住墜落的青少年－我與那些受傷的孩子，及他們不安的家庭》 、《先陪伴，再教養：讀懂孩子不愛念書、手機滑不停背後的困境，校園心理師給青春期父母的27則心法》 \n \n\n[New Book Introduction] \nWhat truly drains you isn’t that you’re not good enough\, but rather the bottomless pit in your heart that constantly makes you feel inadequate. \nLet go of the habit of trading achievements and success for love. Your existence alone has value and deserves love. \nWe often assume that growing up under constant criticism and harsh judgment will get better once we leave our family of origin. Yet\, we often find that these scars continue to follow us like shadows wherever we go… \nDo you experience any of the following?\n‧ “If so and so can do it\, why can’t I? It must be because I’m not good enough.”\n‧ Struggling to accept compliments\, often responding with “I was just lucky…”\n‧ Using self-criticism and harsh judgment to push yourself to improve\, feeling utterly exhausted but unable to stop.\n‧ Messing something up and thinking\, “I’m just like my parents said when I was a kid: not good enough\, not serious enough\, not detail-oriented enough…”\n‧ Unable to enjoy the satisfaction or rewards of completing something\, constantly focused on chasing the next achievement… \nWhy do we always feel we’re not good enough?\nIn childhood\, our parents’ criticism\, disapproval\, rejection\, and even humiliation became internalized\, making us prone to self-criticism. Societal expectations and standards in Chinese culture often trap us in countless “shoulds\,” such as “You should cook to be a good mom\,” or “You should visit home every week to be considered filial.” The relentless comparisons we’ve faced since childhood make it even harder to see our own potential and uniqueness. \nWhen we feel inadequate\, we easily fall into cycles of anxiety\, jealousy\, guilt\, anger\, and depression\, subjecting ourselves to endless self-torment. However\, by learning to embrace every emotion and every part of ourselves—both the good and the bad—we can begin to live out our unique value and authenticity. Becoming who we truly are is perhaps the most important journey of a lifetime. \n\n[Speaker Introduction] \nTsai Yi-Fang\, Counseling Psychologist \nEducation \n\nMaster’s Degree in Counseling Psychology\, Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling\, National Taiwan Normal University\n\nCurrent Roles \n\nFull-time Counseling Teacher at a Junior High School\nLecturer for parenting seminars\, expressive arts therapy stress-relief workshops\, and self-affirmation talks for various organizations\nContributing writer for Parenting & Education\, Future Family\, Mamibuy\, and Womany\n\nExpertise\nWith experience leading over 300 workshops and seminars\, Ms. Tsai specializes in parenting seminars\, expressive arts therapy for stress relief and self-care\, as well as topics such as family of origin\, emotional struggles\, interpersonal relationships\, intimacy\, and career development.  \nPublications \n\nCatching the Falling Teenagers: My Journey with Wounded Youth and Their Anxious Families\nAccompany First\, Then Educate: Understanding the Struggles Behind Teens’ Reluctance to Study and Constant Phone Use – 27 Insights from a School Psychologist for Parents of Adolescents\n\n\n
