《新關係花園》作者麥基卓（Dr. Jock McKeen）與黃煥祥（Dr. Bennet Wong）提供了提升個人成長與親密關係的具體方法：透過「關係」這面鏡子，我們真實的「接觸」他人和自己，用誠實的面對分享，實現心靈的連結與共振。

兩位醫師在早期醫治病人的過程中，感受到人與人的「真實連結」，體驗了「關係」的強大力量，同時發現彼此對整體療癒的熱情，預示了他們的共同使命。之後，雙方全心投入一項以「什麼是真正的親密」為核心的自我探索計畫，他們超越西方醫學的局限，融入東方哲學（禪宗、道家思想）和靈性探索，關注心理的想法，也深入探索身體的感受、氣的流動和內在平衡。

【課程簡介】

很多人問什麼是愛？什麼是親密？我又如何深入一份關係，而不失去自我？

Dr. Jock Mckeen認為人要完整與全面的發展，最重要的就是與另一個人建立「深刻與誠實」的關係。在關係裡，自己無可迴避地會看到內心最深層的渴望、過去未了的創傷、長期發展的模式。這些都將於互動中一一浮現。

這樣的關係需要個人有「覺」的能力，能覺察、反省，有能力面對自己的黑暗面。

Jock對「親密」這個心靈狀態所提出的定義：親密是一種存有狀態，把自己最深處的部分向他人也向自己展現，沒有任何偽裝或防衛。所以，親密是透過自我揭露而呈現的脆弱和了解狀態，不是經由一般人際關係中的角色和義務而達到的狀態。

那麼，究竟人我關係中的價值核心是什麼？我們究竟該如何真誠袒露的面對伴侶、家人、摯愛才能建立深刻與誠實的關係？

《新關係花園》書中談及的「親密」是一種「存有狀態」。Jock認知的親密關係是讓自己「認識內在」，找到真正的自己，才能與人連結達到共振的狀態。

事隔多年，讓我們再次聆聽Dr. Jock Mckeen分享他在《新關係花園》中感人的生命探索與體悟。

【講師簡介】
Dr. Jock Mckee (中文譯名麥基卓)

醫學博士、文學博士及針灸師
他曾在英國牛津的中國針灸學苑研習針灸，並獲有英國頒發的針灸開業執照。

Jock是位關係大師，他與黃煥祥博士共同著作《新關係花園》、《新生命花園》、《存乎一心》。長年來，這些著作是許多心理學界或相處關係中的絕佳工具書。

他與黃煥祥博士共處了40年餘生，大多人都用Ben & Jock稱呼他們，他們各自保有各自的家庭，卻又形影不離，做什麼事都在一起，一起生活、工作、思考、對話，Jock一直照顧Ben到生命終點，他們兩人以親密關係為價值核心，一起發展出個人成長的心理學理論，他們認為：個人要完整與全面的發展，最重要的就是與另一個人建立深刻與誠實的關係。

Dr. Jock Mckeen與黃煥祥博士在2004年成立海文學院，海文學院舉辦了各種個人、關係連結、專業成長團體課程，學員們在課程結束時都能習得擁有充實的人生、健康的關係及有效溝通的能力。

Course Introduction
Many people ask: What is love? What is intimacy? How can I deepen a relationship without losing myself?
Dr. Jock Mckeen believes that for a person to grow in a complete and holistic way, the most important element is to build a deep and honest relationship with another person. Within such a relationship, one inevitably becomes aware of their deepest longings, unresolved past wounds, and long-formed behavioral patterns — all of which gradually surface through interaction.
Such a relationship requires the individual to possess awareness — the ability to observe, reflect, and face their own shadow side.

Jock defines intimacy as a state of being — a condition in which one reveals the deepest parts of oneself to another person, and to oneself, without disguise or defense. Intimacy is thus a state of vulnerability and understanding that emerges through self-disclosure. It is not a state attained through the social roles or obligations of ordinary relationships.
So, what is the core value at the heart of human relationships? How can we face our partners, family members, and loved ones with genuine openness and authenticity in order to build deep and honest connections?
In Joining The Relationship Garden, intimacy is described as a state of being. For Jock, an intimate relationship is a path to knowing one’s inner world — discovering one’s true self — and through that self-knowing, resonating and connecting with others.
Years later, we once again have the opportunity to listen to Dr. Jock Mckeen share his touching journey of life exploration and insights from The New Garden of Relationships.

Speaker Introduction
Dr. Jock Mckeen (Chinese name: 麥基卓)
Dr. Jock Mckeen holds both Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Doctor of Literature (Ph.D.) degrees, and is also a licensed acupuncturist. He studied acupuncture at the College of Chinese Acupuncture in Oxford, England, and holds a professional acupuncture license issued in the U.K.
Jock is widely recognized as a master in the field of relationships. Together with Dr. Bennet Wong (黃煥祥), he co-authored several books including Joining The Relationship, Being: A Manual for Life, and The Illuminated Heart: Perspectives on East-West Psychology and Thought. Over the years, these books have become essential tools in both the field of psychology and the study of human relationships.
Dr. Mckeen and Dr. Wong shared over forty years of life together. Affectionately known as “Ben & Jock,” they each maintained their own families yet remained inseparable — living, working, thinking, and dialoguing together. Jock cared for Ben until the end of his life. The two of them regarded intimate relationships as the core of human values, and together they developed a psychological theory of personal growth. They believed that for an individual to grow in a complete and holistic way, the most essential element is to establish a deep and honest relationship with another person.
In 2004, Dr. Mckeen and Dr. Wong founded the Haven Institute, which offers a wide range of programs focused on personal growth, relational connection, and professional development. By the end of the courses, participants gain the capacity to live a fulfilling life, cultivate healthy relationships, and communicate with clarity and effectiveness.
